Be on the lookout
Identifying when a command in a sensor watcher stack changes behavior achieved by a command in the Main Program.
What you can do: Ask students what they expect the robot to do as soon as the sensor is pressed. In this case, the intuitive and correct answer is “reverse direction.”
Important Note: Many students use an On For 3 block instead of a Wait For 3 block. Doing so turns off the motors, requiring another On AC command to be added later in the stack.
Do students need a reminder about how to make a vehicle turn?
Remind them the 2 motors are on and ask what needs to be done to make it turn. Here, since both are on, one has to be turned off.
